Union Hospital is an independent, locally owned and operated, not-for-profit community hospital located in Dover, OH. From its founding in 1906, Union Hospital has grown to offer a broad range of inpatient and outpatient acute care, diagnostic and therapeutic services from its 25-acre campus. Patient care is provided by approximately 200 primary care and specialist physicians and a dedicated staff of licensed professionals and support staff of approximately 1,100 employees.
Governance is provided by a 17-member Board of Trustees, including three members of the medical staff.
The hospital is approximately 30 miles from larger medical centers in Canton, OH, and approximately a two-hour drive to each of Cleveland, Columbus and Pittsburgh. Union Hospital defines the community it serves as the cities, villages, townships, and unincorporated areas within Tuscarawas County.
