Community Hospice provides residents of Tuscarawas, Stark, Carroll and surrounding counties with a peaceful, dignified and holistic passage through the late stages of their illness. We set our sights firmly on meeting the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of our patients and their families.
Our mission is carried out by experienced hospice staff and over 520 local volunteers. As a non-profit hospice, we rely on primary insurance, Medicare and Medicaid to meet the financial needs of our patients. Beyond that, our fund raising efforts assure that no one is turned away from Community Hospice regardless of their ability to pay.
The Community Hospice philosophy affirms dignity and quality of life and is dedicated to preserving the integrity and personal choice of our patients.

- Coordination of care with family physician
- Skilled nursing care
- Services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Pastoral visitation and counseling (spiritual care)
- Art, Music, Massage, Occupational, Speech and Physical Therapies
- Nutritional counseling
- Hospice aide services
- In-home volunteer services
- Social work services
- Bereavement Services and Grief Counseling
- Hospice Medical Director for consultation and house calls
- Inpatient and respite care at Community Hospice House
